We are not against our government, but against the whole world.
In 1971, locals broke down the fence to take over the abandoned military barracks of Bådsmandsstræde and create their anarchist’s dreamland. A self-proclaimed autonomous neighborhood in the borough of Christianshavn in Copenhagen, Christiania governed by it’s own organization is the long lasting utopia in the western world. They renovated the building with a variety of reused materials and build up the house without zoning restrictions but the respect to the nature.
This talk is based on the text created by speaker after her temporary residency in Christiania in May 2016. Christiania is declared as the social experiment in order to survive in the modern world. There are actually more tourists than locals on the street. Freedom is not the ability to access to everything but willing to give up anything as we have already kidnaped by the freedom for a long while ago…
